Keeling

Keeling is a neighborhood in Tucson, Arizona with a population of 6,867. Keeling is in Pima County. Living in Keeling offers residents an urban feel and most residents rent their homes. Mrs. Helen Keeling began teaching in 1930 and became principal of Amphitheater School in 1933. The 9th grade was added in 1935 and a Junior High was organized. In 1938 the 10th grade was added, 11th grade the following year, and in 1940 the 12th grade. Mrs. Keeling was the first principal of the Keeling and Wetmore Elementary Schools, and in 1952 Mrs. Helen Keeling was made Director of Elementary Education. In 1956 Mrs. Keeling retired.
